But, my - manual is telling me that they are galvanized,exept for the fenders,hood and doors.
And i am sure they are,when i take a look to the body, close to the manifold, the heat has removed the paint and i can see the galvanized body.Rust is not a big issue till now.The 4 speed transmission is very reliable, my one is the first with about 500000 Km on the clock!
Only repair were the " Schaltgabeln", they push in the diffrent gears.
The early 924 are louder then later modells,the rear suspension is not installed with rubber bushings.And the ignition has still a mechanical contact which needs to be -d all the time.Main problem is the rear wheel bearing, water pump and sometimes the fuel delivery(pump and relais)
Buy it,its worth it!
And you dont have the electronic problems from the later years......
